Lainie E. Cohen, Esq. Workplace Investigator Joins the Tribu Team

Lainie E. Cohen brings more than two decades of experience in employment law and litigation to her role as a workplace investigator with Tribu Partners. In addition to conducting complex and detailed investigations, Lainie has advised organizations on compliance, workplace policies, and employment disputes, giving her a deep understanding of how investigations must be managed to withstand scrutiny.

Before joining Tribu Partners, Lainie was a partner in a New York litigation firm, where she represented companies and executives in matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, restrictive covenants, whistleblower claims, and regulatory compliance. She managed investigations at every stage, from interviewing witnesses and analyzing evidence to advising on resolution strategies with objectivity and discretion.

Her experience also includes defending organizations in EEOC, SEC, FINRA, FTC, and CFTC investigations. Colleagues and clients alike value her balanced approach, her ability to ask the right questions, and her commitment to integrity throughout the process.

Lainie is admitted to practice in New York and California and has argued appeals before the U.S. Courts of Appeals and the New York Appellate Division. She began her career as a judicial law clerk with the U.S. Department of Labor, drafting published decisions under federal whistleblower statutes.
